1 Corinthians 1:19-21
Modern English Version

19 For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
    and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”[a]

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of this world foolish? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
